Leadership Development Program
Utilizing The Power Of Small Groups To Learn

Drive Wheel has collaborated with Groveland Leadership
to offer a new leadership development series.

Leadership Is A Habit

At Drive Wheel Academy, we believe in a simple rule: the more you practice leadership, the better leader you become.

There are no quick fixes, hacks, or shortcuts. The more effort you put in, the better the result.

New Leaders Are Not Prepared

Lack of Training – Most leaders fail to get leadership training until years, or decades, after they gain direct reports.

Passive Observation – Executive presence, decision making, and collaboration are trainable skills, but many organizations spend years teaching these skills through passive observation.

Lost Productivity – Management is one of the few on the job skills that organizations assume are ingrained in leaders, or that they will learn on their own.  Leaders spend years learning these skills and hurt productivity by using the “guess and check” method.

Drive Wheel® Academy – How It Works

Participants meet for one hour each week during a regularly scheduled time and build skills through a unique mix of learning and discussion activities.  Each group of six participants are paired with a coach to gain skills, practice in real-time, and learn to give each other feedback.

Level Up Lessons – Instruction on key skills and practices needed for successful management.

Expert Advice– Our most popular event, we bring in a Food/COG expert to answer your questions about effective leadership.

Peer Coaching – Biweekly conversations to celebrate progress, discuss challenges, and build the habit of leadership.

Bring-Your-Own-Article – Participants share meaningful leadership lessons they have learned from books, articles, TED Talks, etc.
